Hello, I’m Taylor Hausfeld!
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of Ohio, passionate about working with clients of all ages who have experienced trauma, hardships, and those searching for inner peace and happiness. Stemming from my own experiences, I have specialized interest in postpartum mental health care, complicated grief and child-loss, health-related anxiety, and navigating the emotional aspect of being a parent to a child diagnosed with Autism. I am open to and capable of working with all age ranges and all mental health needs as well.
I have a robust educational background that includes a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, with specialization in psychiatric and mental health, in order to provide the expertise and clinical knowledge needed for compassionate and effective care. This experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and the importance of supplementing holistic practices to client care, as well as the importance of medication. My job as a PMHNP-BC is to provide in-depth client assessments, to diagnose when appropriate, to provide continuous treatment planning, medication prescribing and management, to provide client education, and to deliver therapeutic intervention + supportive therapy.
I am committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment, emphasizing the significance of building strong therapeutic relationships. Collaborative care is of the utmost importance in our relationship, as the goal is for you to be informed and involved in all care-based decision making. I believe integrating evidence-based practices with client-centered care, empowers individuals to take part and take charge of their own mental health journeys. I actively participate in ongoing professional development and remain abreast of the latest research and advancements in prescribing, further contributing to safety and effectiveness in psychiatric care.
In addition to direct client care, I am passionate about advocating for mental health awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental illness. I engage with local communities through networking, seminars, and outreach programs, aiming to educate the public about mental wellness and available resources.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I am a mother of two who enjoys coffee, reading, being in the nature, and regularly practicing mindfulness to calm my nervous system in the beautiful chaos of motherhood and life. This contributes to my holistic approach to mental health and my ability to relate to my clients in the support of creating a meaningful difference in those I provide care to.
It can be an overwhelming step to seek professional guidance in your mental health journey and I am so honored to be entrusted with that step, should you choose to work with me. Please reach out to us if you are interested in scheduling and getting started!
