ABOUT

Hello, I’m Cara Mueller!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adolescents and adults facing a wide range of mental health concerns. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and move toward greater emotional wellbeing, resilience, and balance. I believe every person’s story, experiences, and values deserve to be met with curiosity, compassion, and respect.

My approach to care is collaborative, integrative, and rooted in evidence-based practice. Medication can be an important and effective tool for managing symptoms, and I work closely with patients to thoughtfully determine the most appropriate treatment options. Together, we may also explore factors that can influence mental health—such as stress, sleep, lifestyle, nutrition, and physical health—as we work toward a treatment plan that supports both symptom relief and long-term wellbeing. My goal is to help patients feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in decisions about their care.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Northern Kentucky University and bring several years of experience as a registered nurse in critical care and complex medical settings. Caring for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments shaped my deep respect for the connection between physical health, mental health, and life circumstances.

In addition to my clinical training, my work in global health and community settings—including teaching women’s health education in rural Nepal and supporting refugee health access in Israel—has strengthened my commitment to culturally responsive care. I strive to create a space where individuals of all identities, cultures, and beliefs feel welcomed and safe to show up as they are. I am particularly passionate about supporting women and individuals who have faced adversity in building resilience and reclaiming a sense of wellbeing.

If you feel I may be a good fit for your care, please reach out to us for scheduling! I would be honored to support you in finding relief and building lasting wellbeing.
